Before the visit, vacuum every floor, empty the vacuum outside, wash pet bedding in hot water and clear toys and clutter off the floors. Pets need their own flea treatment from your vet at about the same time, otherwise they bring fleas straight back in. Keep people and pets off treated floors until they have dried.
